Roulette is a fairly simple game to play. There are only a few key parts to the table that you need to learn about...
The wheel.
The Roulette wheels consists of 37 numbers (38 in American Roulette), alternating from black to red, with the being 1 green "0" number (there will also be another "00" in American Roulette). During a game, the wheel is spun and the ball is sent in the other direction around the wheel.
Eventually, the ball will come to a standstill and land in one of the number slots.
The betting area.
On the other side of a Roulette table is the betting section. This part contains all of the corresponding numbers from the Roulette wheel along with a number of other areas to bet upon.
Aside from the single numbers, there are areas that allow you to bet on sections of numbers, such as;
- All of the red numbers.
- All of the black numbers.
- A row of numbers.
- A block of numbers.
- And so on...
This is basically how the betting area of a Roulette table is set-up.
Playing Roulette.
In each game of Roulette, players will firstly place their chips in the betting area over the numbers and sections of the Roulette wheel that they think the ball will land in. Each player may have their own Roulette betting strategy, but generally it is all down to luck.
When players have finished placing their bets, the Roulette wheel is set in motion and no more bets are allowed to be placed. The Roulette wheel will then eventually stop and land on a number.
The players that had bet on this number will then receive their winnings for choosing the correct number. The amount a player wins depends on the Roulette odds of the section that they bet on.
And that's all their is to it!
